CKYL

CKYL

CKYL is a Canadian radio station that broadcasts a country music format at 610 AM in Peace River, Alberta and also several different other frequencies on the FM dial. The station is branded as YL Country and is owned by Peace River Broadcasting.

CKYL originally began broadcasting in 1954 at 630 AM, until it moved to its current AM frequency in the late 1950s or early 60s.

A number of FM rebroadcast transmitters were added to many communities in the 1990s and 2000s.
