The ceremonial county of Bedfordshire (which includes the area of the Luton unitary authority) is divided into 6 Parliamentary constituencies - 3 Borough constituencies and 3 County constituencies.
Current proposals by the Boundary Commission for England would retain these 6 constituencies with changes to align with current local government wards, and better to equalise the electorates. These changes are expected to be implemented at the United Kingdom general election, 2009/10.
