Hargen first appeared in "Eternals" #7 (January 1977), and was created by
Jack Kirby .The character subsequently appears in "Eternals" #9-10 (March-April 1977), "Thor" #300 (October 1980), and "Fantastic Four Annual" #23 (1990).
Hargen appeared as part of the "Celestials" entry in the "Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition" #2.

Hargen is one of the Celestials that measures. The true nature of his job has never been defined. During the Fourth Celesital Host, he examined the
Swiss Alps .
