Kildonan Place

Strategically situated in one of the busiest retail and commercial nodes in Winnipeg, Kildonan Place is a middle-market regional shopping centre that serves shoppers in the northeast area of the city with a mix of national, regional, and local retailers. The mall has over 100 stores and services, including a food court. The mall is managed by Ivanhoe Cambridge, who is also a majority owner of the mall.

History

Kildonan Place opened in 1980, with anchors Sears, The Bay, and Dominion Foods. Dominion Foods closed in the 1980s, which saw the addition of a food court and current anchor Famous Players Theatres. Following a $4 million renovation in 2004, Kildonan Place saw the addition of several new fashion retailers, and a whole new look for the mall. A guest services kiosk was added in 2006, and a children's play area will be installed in fall, 2008. Location

The mall is located at 1555 Regent Avenue West, in the area of Winnipeg known as Transcona, near the intersection of Regent Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard.
