Arne Brun Lie

Arne Brun Lie was born on February 2, 1925 in Oslo, Norway. He is a Holocaust survivor and currently lives in Ipswich, MA.

Biography

Early Years

Holocaust

Arne Brun Lie was a member of the Norwegian Resistance. He was captured by the Gestapo in 1943 and spent a year in Nazi concentration camps, including Natzweiler-Struthof and Dachau. He was released in 1944. [ [http://home.clara.net/clinchy/hopp2.htm Untitled ] ]

Later years

Following his release from the concentration camps, Lie moved back to Norway. He immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s, and has since opened up publicly about his Holocaust experience, publishing a book and releasing a documentary film.
