Kitchener and District Soccer League

Kitchener and District Soccer League

Kitchener and District Soccer League is a semi-pro Canadian men's football (soccer) league. The league consists of two divisions, the premier division, and the first division. Both divisions traditionally consist of 10 teams each, with the premier division being of higher ranking.

The regular season consists of each team playing each other twice within their respective division, once at home and once away. There is also a cup tournament (KDSL Cup) which involves teams from both divisions. The winners of the premier division have the option of joining the Ontario Soccer League (OSL). Promotion and relegation within the KDSL also occurs, usually involving the bottom two teams from the premier division and the top two teams from the first division.

Most teams are located within or around Kitchener, Ontario as well as other nearby cities. Teams from Stratford, Cambridge, Guelph, and other places participate in this league as well. The season runs from April/May to early October.
