Alan Funk (born July 7 1971) is an American professional wrestler, who has previously worked in promotions such as World Championship Wrestling and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, often with comedic personas.

Career

World Championship Wrestling

First showed up on WCW's C-Show at the time Worldwide. He would team with Above Average Mike Sanders, as the Re-Enforcers. The supposed best tag team in WCW. The team would disolve after both men got brought to Nitro.Upon his graduation from the WCW Power Plant in 2000, Funk was moved up to the main roster given a gay gimmick by the ring name of Kwee Wee. [cite web |url=http://ddtdigest.com/updates/2000083m.htm |title=Monday Nitro results - August 21, 2000 |accessdate=2007-04-12 |publisher=DDTDigest |quote=Match #2: Kwee-Wee and Paisley vs. Lash LeRoux and Major Gunns ] Near the end of World Championship Wrestling's existence, Kwee Wee developed an aggressive alter-ego named "Angry Alan", whom Kwee Wee would suddenly "turn into" in the event he was angered, a gimmick similar to Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde or The Incredible Hulk.

After WCW folded, Funk wrestled under his own name, developing a copycat gimmick of mimicking other wrestlers. He appeared in World Wrestling All-Stars as "The Funkster", an impression of "The Hulkster" Hulk Hogan.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

Funk joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in June 2002 as Bruce, another "homosexual" gimmick, forming a short-lived tag team with Lenny Lane known as The Rainbow Express.cite web|url=http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/profiles/a/allan-funk.html|title=June 19, 2002 - NWA: Total Nonstop Action Debut|publisher=Online World of Wrestling|accessdate=2007-09-21|quote=Allen Funk joins the Jarrett Upstart promotion to be known as Bruce.] The team split on November 20 2002. Bruce also won the Miss TNA Championship on July 31, 2002. On November 27, 2002, Bruce gave the crown to April Pennington.

Independents

In 2003, at the Baltic Brawl event in Helsinki, Finland Funk wrestled a tag team match with Mike Sanders against Elix Skipper and Sonny Siaki. During that match, Siaki botched a split-legged moonsault and landed on Funk's face knee-first. Funk was badly injured, breaking his eardrum, nose, and jaw and also cracking his orbital bone, but he made a full recovery.

Funk resumed wrestling on the independent circuit in 2005, including an appearance in Vince Russo's Ring of Glory promotion as Queen Herod.

Funk wrestled numerous matches in the Long Island-based Long Island Wrestling Federation engaging in a brief feud with LIWF Champion, Daniel Atherley.
