Elko County Courthouse is a historic building that, along with all other buildings in Elko County, Nevada was just shaken by an earthquake rated 6.0 on the Richter scale, on 21 Feb, 2008.

The site was "a scene of terror" also on the night of 18 Jul, 1870, when a giant burning chandelier fell into a throng of people.cite web|url=http://www.elkonv.com/~fourjdc1/ASceneofTerror.html

The current building is a replacement built in 1910.

It is located at 571 Idaho Street in Elko, Nevada, whose motto is "The Best Small Town in America".
