Robert Patrick Maginnis, VG (born December 22, 1933) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church, who currently serves as an auxiliary bishop of Philadelphia.

Biography

Robert Maginnis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and studied at [http://www.scs.edu/ St. Charles Borromeo Seminary] before being ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop John Krol on May 13, 1961.

On January 24, 1996, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia and Titular Bishop of "Siminina" by Pope John Paul II. Maginnis received his episcopal consecration on the following March 11 from Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua, with Archbishop Francis Schulte and Bishop Edward Cullen serving as co-consecrators. He later became pastor of [http://www.stcolmanchurch.org/ St. Colman Church] in Ardmore, in addition to his episcopal duties.
