History

Formerly known as Eastbourne Comprehensive School, it underwent major changes during the summer of 2007 and reopened as a Church of England academy, supported by the sponsorship of Airtours founders David and Anne Crossland and the Diocese of Durham.

It was planned to combine Eastbourne and Hurworth into one Academy.
