Paul Romanuk

Paul Romanuk is a Canadian sportscaster and writer. He did NHL play-by-play for the NHL on TSN from 1989 until 2001. Prior to 1994, Romanuk was the "second" TSN hockey play-by-play voice to Jim Hughson. Hughson left TSN and from the 1994-95 season to the 1997-98 season (when the network lost national NHL rights) Romanuk was the network's lead NHL play by play announcer. From 1998-99 to 2001 he was the English language television voice of the Montreal Canadiens regional broadcasts on TSN. He was best known in Canada for his play-by-play work of international hockey on TSN, where he called virtually every Canadian international hockey game broadcast from 1990 until he left the network in early 2001. Romanuk has also worked at multiple Olympics and the World Cup of Soccer. He has been living in London, England since September 2005.

Romanuk has also shared a production credit on "CHL (Canadian Hockey League) Sunday Night" on TSN and also on Rogers Sportsnet's presentation of The Spengler Cup hockey tournament. He has also produced corporate films and television commercials. His most notable writing work is a successful series of children's books - Hockey Superstars - for Scholastic Publishing, Canada. He has also written numerous newspaper and magazine articles. He has been living in London, England since September 2005. He currently works as a freelance sportscaster, occasionally calling hockey games on Eurosport and Channel 4.
