The Roman Catholic Diocese of Oita (Latin: Oitaen(sis), Japanese: カトリック大分教区 ) is a diocese located in the city of Ōita in the Ecclesiastical province of Nagasaki 長崎 in Japan.

History

• March 27, 1927: Established as Mission “sui iuris” of Miyazaki from the Diocese of Fukuoka
• January 28, 1935: Promoted as Apostolic Prefecture of Miyazaki
• December 22, 1961: Promoted as Diocese of Oita
