Bombay Bicycle Club began at an early age of 15, going first under the name of 'The Canals' before cycling through various aliases until they picked their current one. The line up changed regularly until summer 2006, when Jamie, Jack and Suren welcomed Ed into the band. They started playing gigs at school and at small London venues such as Lark in the Park and Jacksons Lane. The band then entered, and won, the "Road to V" competition which led to them opening
V Festival later that year. [ [http://www.bombaybicycleclubmusic.com/ Bombay Bicycle Club ] ]Progression
