Yingli Green Energy (nasdaq|YGE) also know as Yingli Solar, is a Chinese photovoltaic cell manufacturer and retailer based in Hebei , China. The company put up offerings on the New York Stock Exchange on June 8, 2007. The company produces Polysilicon Ingots, Photovoltic Cells, Photovoltic Modules and Photovoltic Integrated systems.

History

The company was founded in 1998 by Liansheng Miao.In 2005 company established a grid-connected system in Munich, Germany. In 2006 the company built another Grid connected system in Moah, Portugal and in Navarra, Spain.

In 2008 the company built a grid-connected system for Wal-mart and Kohl's department stores in the United States.
