Williams has said that after reading a copy of the
Uncanny X-Men issue 272 with art byJim Lee , he was inspired to become a comic book artist from the age of 15. While attending the 2005San Diego Comic-Con Williams submitted a portfolio to the DC talent search. As a result he was hired to do aSeven Soldiers issue featuringMister Miracle , and some fill in issues forAquaman .
