Paolo Polidori (January 4, 1778April 23, 1847) was an Italian Roman Catholic Cardinal.

Born in Jesi, Marche, he studied in the seminary of Perugia.

Priesthood

He was ordained priest in 1800 and became vicar general of Viterbo and later of the suburbicarian diocese of Ostia. Arrested and exiled until 1814 during the French occupation of Rome and then continued his eclessiastical career in the Roman Curia and became "Secretary" of Sacred Congregation of the Council and also was appointed "Secretary" of the conclaves of 1829 and 1830-1831.

Polidori was created cardinal priest in the consistory of June 23, 1834 by Pope Gregory XVI with the title of Sant'Eusebio. He was made "Prefect" of the Sacred Congregationn of the Religious Discipline on November 21, 1834. Opted for the title of Santa Prassede on July 12, 1841 after suppressing the Sant'Eusebio title in 1839. Appointed "Prefect" of the Sacred Congregation of the Council on September 15, 1841 until his death.

Cardinal Polidori was elected titular archbishop of Tarsus on January 22, 1844. He participated in the Papal conclave, 1846.

Polidori died on April 23, 1847 in Rome and buried in the Sant'Ignazio church, according to his will.
