Sergei Makovetsky ( _ru. Сергей Васильевич Маковецкий) is a famous Russian movie actor.

Biography

Sergei Makovetskiy was born on June 13, 1958 in Kiev. After learning in school about acting he did not want to act, but his teacher made him play the role of Neschastlivtsev in “The Forest” of Ostrovskiy. After the performance of this role Makovetsky wanted to become an actor. He did not get accepted into the Kiev Theatrical School. Then Sergei went to work in the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama as the fitter of decorations.

In that year Sergei left to enter Moscow theatrical VUZ (Institute of Higher Education). He tried to enter in GITIS, but did not get accepted that year. Makovetskiy entered into Shchukin's theatrical school. At completion of school he was in 1980 accepted in Vakhtangov's Theater.
