Sable Saanen

The Sable Saanen is a breed of goat. The Sable is descended from Saanen goats brought to America by Europeans. In 2005 the Sable was recognized as a separate breed. Before the sable was recognized as a separate breed, they were often diposed of. They are just basically Saanens that aren't white. they are sometimes referred "The Saanens in party clothes" [ [http://www.geocities.com/swodga2001/breedspage.html breedspage ] ]

The Sable can come in a variety of colors, except solid white. Sables are recognized with the American Dairy Goat Assiocation ( ADGA).
