Ge Honglin

Ge Honglin

Ge Honglin (Chinese: 葛红林; Pinyin: Gě Hónglín; born 1956) is a Chinese politician and former engineer and current Mayor of Chengdu.

Of Han ethnicity he was born in Nantong in Jiangsu Province and a graduate of Beijing University of Science and Technology majoring in Material Science and Engineering. From July 1995 to November 1998 he served as the Board Director and Vice President of Shanghai Metallurgical Holdings.

He is currently the Deputy Secretary of Chengdu Municipal Party Committee since October 2001 and serves as the Mayor to the provincial capital of Chengdu in Sichuan Province. [ [http://www.citieschina.org/WebEn/lst_indexArtDetail.asp?id=1227&columnid=439 Citieschina.org] ]
