Richard On

Richard On is a Chinese-American guitarist who also performs backing vocals for the band Of A Revolution (O.A.R.).

Born February 9, 1979 in Takoma Park, Maryland, but growing up in Gaithersburg, MD, Richard attended Travilah Elementary School, Robert Frost Middle School and Thomas S. Wootton High School, in Rockville, Maryland. It was at Robert Frost Middle School where Richard was approached by Marc Roberge and Chris Culos to form the band that would later become O.A.R. After graduating from high school and after a brief stint at a local community college, he attended The Ohio State University.

Richard plays mostly Fender Custom Shop Stratocasters, a '59 reissue Gibson Les Paul, and a Fender Thinline Telecaster out of a Hiwatt DR103 and matching 4x12 cabs. He also uses a Carr Imperial for his lead channel, as well as a variety of pedals and effects.
