Frederik Magle (born 17 April 1977) is a Danish composer, concert organist, and pianist. He studied composition and music theory with Leif Thybo and attended the Royal Danish Academy of Music where he studied composition and organ. He is mainly known for his works for the Danish Royal Family, which include music composed for the christening of Prince Nikolai in 1999[1], and a symphonic suite Cantabile, based on texts by Prince Henrik of Denmark (the Prince Consort) of which the first movement "Souffle le vent" was first performed in 2004, and the remaining two movements "Cortège & Danse Macabre" and "Carillon", in June 2009, on both occasions by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.

His musical style can be characterized as being generally melodic while maintaining some elements of atonality.

Frederik Magle created the tonal design for a new 21-voices pipe organ in Jørlunde Church, Denmark that was inaugurated in October 2009. In 2010 he released a double CD, Like a Flame, with free improvisations recorded on the Jørlunde-organ.
