The Cytochrome b (-245) protein complex is composed of cytochrome b alpha (CYBA)[1] and beta (CYBB)[2] chain.

CYBA - 2.1 fold - Cytochrome b-245[3] alpha polypeptide; p22 PHOX
- 22 KD subunit of NADPH oxidase
- produces superoxide anion
