Accident in 2007
In October 2007, a 14 year old girl fell into Platform 1 whilst attempting to board a train. The girl, who's destination was Raynes Park station, was boarding the train which terminated at London Waterloo to go to Raynes Park High School for school when she slipped and fell into the platform. She was holding onto her bag which was jammed in the train door. A passenger hit the emergency stop button as the train was departing at speed. The girl was sent to hospital, and has now recovered. Her mother was quoted saying that her daughter will no longer be taking public transport alone.
