Isham Randolph

Isham Randolph

Isham Randolph (1685 - 1742) was the maternal grandfather of U.S. President Thomas Jefferson.

He was born on the Turkey Island plantation in Henrico County, Virginia, the son of William Randolph and Mary Isham. He married Jane Lilburne Susan Rogers [http://www.whosyomama.com/gabroaddrick3/5061.htm] at St. Paul's Church in the Shadwell parish of England (today East London).

Isham and Jane Randolph moved to Virginia. Their daughter, Jane Randolph, married Peter Jefferson, who named his home Shadwell.
