- Antiglobulin test
An antiglobulin test is a
laboratory testto identify antibodiesthat can bind to the surface of red blood cellsor plateletsand destroy them. This test is used to diagnose certain blood disordersin which patients make antibodies to their own red blood cellsor platelets. It is also used to determine blood type. Also called Coomb's test.
