Archive de la Morte

"Archive de la Morte" (French for "Archive of Death") is the title of the DVD released in 2004 by Glenn Danzig's band Danzig. The DVD contains 12 videos for the US release and 13 videos for the European release. The contents of the DVD chronicle the band's video singles from their third album, (1992), their first EP (1993), and their fourth album, Danzig 4P (1994). This continues the collection that began with their first two VHS releases, "Danzig" (1989) and "Lucifuge: The Video" (1991). The videos became available to Glenn Danzig after he won a lawsuit against Rick Rubin, in which he regained the right of ownership for the videos.

The "R-Rated" version of "How the Gods Kill" differs slightly from that released in 1992 as part of the "How the Gods Kill: Special Limited Edition" CD/VHS box set. According to Danzig, the earlier edit and all other videos officially released by Rubin's Def American Recordings (later renamed simply American Recordings) remain the property of the label.
