CIIO-FM

CIIO is a Canadian radio station, that broadcasts tourist information at 99.7 FM in Ottawa, Ontario, known as "Ottawa Information Radio".

The station originally began broadcasting at 104.7 FM in 2006, however, the station moved to 99.7 FM in 2007, to make room for CJRC to operate at 104.7 FM in Gatineau, Quebec. On October 4, 2007 the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) received applications for new radio stations in Ottawa to operate at 99.7 MHz. Three applicants have proposed the 99.7 MHz frequency, however, CIIO-FM plans to increase their effective radiated power. CIIO's application to increase power was denied on August 26, 2008.
