Darko Kolić (Serbian Cyrillic: Дарко Колић) (born October 6, 1971 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is a former Serbian footballer.

Career

Kolić started his professional career in Yugoslavia in 1992, first with FK Rad, in the First Division and then FK Hajduk Beograd, in Second Division. He signed with the Montreal Impact in 1997 and played with the team until the end of the 2006 season, with stints in Richmond in 1998 and Long Island in 1999.

He tallied 17 goals and nine assists while playing for Long Island in 1999,[1] with that performance, he finished fourth in league scoring and earned a spot on the second All-star team. When he returned with the Impact in 2000, he finished first in team scoring with eight goals and four assists. With the Impact, he won the Montreal Cup, a six-team international tournament played at Claude Robillard Stadium in 2001,[2] the league championship in 2004, as well as the regular-season title in 1997, 2005 and 2006. In the season 2007 has played for the farm team from Impact nineteen games with thirteen goals, he left than in December 2007 Trois-Rivières and joined to Vermont Voltage, who plays in his first season fifteen games and scores four goals. Kolić plays alongside with FK Sokolovi Toronto,[3] his first game was on 16 October 2008.

Coaching career

Kolić began his coaching career 2007 by Concordia Stingers, who was named as Assistant Coach,[4] in November left than the Stingers and joined to Vermont Voltage, who while assisted the Head Coach Bo Simić.[5]

In February 2011, Kolic was named technical director of FC Anjou located in the eastern part of the city of Montreal. He replaces another retired Impact player, Jason DeTulio, and will be assisted by current Impact FC players Antonio Ribeiro, Reda Agourram, Hicham Aaboubou.

Kolić represented Canada at QCSL 2009, currently holds here sixteen games with thirty-four goals [7].
