Headlam

Headlam is a village in the borough of Darlington and the ceremonial county of
County Durham, England. It is situated to the west of Darlington. A picturesque hamlet of just 14 stone houses and the magnificent seventeenth century Headlam Hall which is now a leading country house hotel. The village is set around a natural village green with a medieval cattle-pound and an old stone cart horse bridge across the beck. Headlam is classed as lower Teesdale and enjoys views to the south as far as Richmond and to the Cleveland hills on the east.
