Buchan Observer

The Buchan Observer is a local weekly newspaper based in Peterhead, which serves Peterhead and surrounding Buchan.

It has two sister newspapers, namely the Fraserburgh Herald and Ellon Times.

The editorial team consists of Ken Duncan (Editor), Morag Ledingham (Deputy), and reporters Ruth Thomson and Leona Findlay. Former reporters include Chris lamont, Alan Pirie, Billy Youngson, Ryan Crighton and Gavin Roberts.

Known locally as 'The Buchanie', the Buchan Observer is renowned for its coverage of Peterhead FC, now managed by former Aberdeen legend Neale Cooper. The newspaper also has a comprehensive farming and fishing section, and includes a special 'Drive' supplement which showcases new and used cars for sale in the local area.
