Gooische Vrouwen is a Dutch drama series, created in 2005 by Linda de Mol for her brother John's Tien channel. After the closure of Tien the series continued on RTL. It has also been broadcast in Germany, Belgium and France with Linda dubbing her own voice in the first mentioned country.

The series is about a group of high class females living in Het Gooi (the Dutch equivalent of Beverly Hills); Cheryl (Linda de Mol), Anouk (Susan Visser), Willemijn (Annet Malherbe) and Claire (Tjitske Reidinga).

eason 1

Cheryl is married to singer Martin Moreiro who has a chart hit at the time of their relocation; Claire looks for a man who can solve her financial problems after the untimely death of her husband; Willemijn unsuccessfully attempts to put a new injection to her sex life while Anouk is doing it with every man despite still having feelings for her ex-husband Tom. The first season ends on December 18, 2005 with Claire getting knocked down at a swimming pool.

eason 2

Having split with her husband Evert, Willemijn turns over a new leaf although she still wears a wedding-ring. Evert on the other hand has a new younger girlfriend. Anouk turns 40 and insists on more independancy; does she succeed ? Claire is determined to find out who assaulted her, and Cheryl is concerned that her unborn baby might not be Martin's. Meanwhile she has employed an au pair from Thailand; Tippi Wan claims to be pregnant too but this might be a front, just like her failure to pick up the Dutch language. Martin can't keep his promise not to cheat on Cheryl, and fate strikes at the end of the season (October 26, 2006) as he shares a car-accident with his maitresse.

eason 3

Martin emerges as the surviving half of the accident, but it is too late as Cheryl sends him packing; having just given birth to a son (Remy) she still doesn't know who the father is. Willemijn is moving house but keeps struggling on her own; Anouk fails to life a sex-free live while Claire has a love-free reunion with Ernst.

By showing her true colours Tippi Wan loses her job and seeks revenge; feeling mistreated by the foursome she abducts Remy and sends an explosive parcel to Willemijn who's about to renew her wedding vows. The season ends on November 11, 2007 with the women opening the parcel while time is ticking off the last five seconds.

eason 4

September 7, 2008; Cheryl, Claire and Anouk are still alive, Willemijn isn't. Tippi Wan tried to flee the country and is now doing her time; meanwhile she has another nasty surprise in store by revealing it all in print.

The remaining women waste no time in deleting all copies from the bookshops to burn them; it makes no sense as Tippi Wan's effort gets reviewed on television. At her perfume-launch Cheryl neatly avoids questions about the revelations, but backstage she catches Martin snogging another woman.

Joost, Anouk's violent lover, isn't happy either; a few years earlier he was a promising writer, now he's branded a has-been. Besides he forces Anouk to choose between him and her daughter Vlinder (Butterfly) and lures her into a open-air bath only to drown her.
