John Whedon

John Whedon

John Ogden Whedon (November 5, 1905 – November 21, 1991) was an American screenwriter. He is best known for his writing for the television series "The Donna Reed Show" during the 1950s. Whedon has also written for "The Andy Griffith Show", "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "Leave It To Beaver". He is the father of screenwriter Tom Whedon and the grandfather of screenwriter and director Joss Whedon.
