Izu Kyūkō Line

The nihongo|Izu Kyūkō Line|伊豆急行線|Izu Kyūkō-sen is a Japanese railway line of nihongo|Izukyū Corporation|伊豆急行|Izu Kyūkō|"Izu Express" in Shizuoka Prefecture. The line runs along the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, a tourist district, between Itō Station in Itō and Izukyū-Shimoda Station in Shimoda. The line opened in 1961.

Beside railway business, the company operates resort facilities and real estate businesses. The official English name, nihongo|Izukyū|伊豆急, is originally an abbreviation of Japanese. The company is a subsidiary of Tōkyū Corporation.

Although located close to Greater Tokyo Area, PASMO and Suica are not accepted.

Operation

The line is served by Limited Express and Local trains. Limited Expresses connect Tokyo and Izukyū-Shimoda, and are named "Odoriko", "Super View Odoriko", and "Resort Odoriko". Some local trains operate over the Itō Line of JR East.
