History

The predecessor of DocZilla was software called Multidoc Pro that was an SGML browser. Due to licensing issues its development was cancelled and DocZilla replaced it. The first official appearance of DocZilla was on February 15, 1999 when Miss DocZilla - Mirja Hukari - announced that "Citec have made its XML, SGML, and HTML browser, DocZilla Preview and all-new Demo Kit, available". Features

Using OpenSP parser, DocZilla reads SGML and XML documents directly into a DOM tree (without XSLT transformations), and styles and renders them with CSS. It also supports many special features of SGML itself, like the display of NDATA entities. Extended XLinks and parts of HyTime are supported of linking standards. In addition to that, it has a selection of proprietary features, like SGML/XML search, a navigation tree panel and simple annotations. DocZilla includes also support for CGM graphics. Future
