Johnson Township is one of ten townships in Gibson County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, its population was 3,462. Haubstadt is the township seat. Johnson Township is the fastest growing township in Gibson County, with as many as five subdivisions having already been built in the last three years and at least three more under construction as of the end of 2007 (mainly around Haubstadt, but also in the vicinity of nearby Warrenton).

Johnson Township covers an area of 40.6 square miles (105.14 square kilometers); of this, 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometers) or 0.1 percent is water.
