Eltham railway station is a railway station in Eltham, in the London Borough of Greenwich and on the Bexleyheath Line. The station and all trains serving it, are operated by Southeastern. It is in Travelcard Zone 4.cite web|last=Glasspool|first=David|title=Eltham Park|url=http://www.kentrail.co.uk/Eltham%20Park.htm|accessdaymonth = 30 July | accessyear=2007]

There were formerly two railway stations in Eltham on the Bexleyheath Line:

* Eltham Well Hall (originally just Well Hall) approximately 4 miles east of Lewisham, in Well Hall Road.
* Eltham Park a few hundred yards further east, in Westmount Road.

Eltham Well Hall opened on 1 May 1895 and Eltham Park opened 1 May 1908: the Bexleyheath Line was the final of the three lines from London to Dartford. It was built by the Bexley Heath Railway Fact|date=March 2008, which soon became bankrupt: services were then taken over by the South Eastern Railway. The two stations lay between Kidbrooke and Falconwood.

When the new Rochester Way (part of the A2) was opened, both stations were closed, and one station, Eltham railway station, took their place on 16 March 1985. That station is located on a raft over the main road, and is part of a bus/rail interchange.

Services

Trains run east to Dartford; some are extended to Gravesend or the Medway Towns; and a few rush-hour trains are diverted to Slade Green, and west to Cannon Street, Charing Cross or Victoria. The daytime service is one train every half an hour to each of the two London termini, resulting in a 15 minute frequency as far west as Lewisham.Summer Services operate on weekdays using 375 units to Margate at 0956.
