Rinpoche or Rimpoche (bo-tw|t=རིན་པོ་ཆེ་|w=rin po che; IPA2|rinˈpotʃe) is an honorific title used in Tibetan Buddhism. It literally means "precious one".ref|rinpoche The title is generally reserved for tulkus (incarnate lamas) and those recognized by the proper authorities within a lineage as "choje lamas" ("superior dharma masters").

In Himalaya and Tibet, when used as "Guru Rinpoche" it refers to Padmasambhava, also known as The Second Buddha, who first brought Tantric Buddhism to Tibet and the Himalayas. When used as Je Rinpoche, it refers to Je Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug School.
