Louisiana Purchase State Park, in Arkansas near Blackton, Arkansas, was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1993 under the title Beginning Point of the Louisiana Purchase Survey.,citation|title=PDFlink| [http://www.nps.gov/nhl/designations/samples/ar/BeginningPointLouisianaLandSurvey.pdf National Historic Landmark Nomination: Louisiana Purchase Survey Marker / Louisiana Purchase Initial Point Site] |808 KiB |author=William D. Baker|date=September 16, 1991|publisher=National Park Service] It is the point from which the lands acquired through the Louisiana Purchase of 1803 were subsequently surveyed. A granite marker was dedicated in 1926. The marker is located in a swamp, but is accessible by a 950 foot boardwalk.

It is located at the junction of Lee County, Monroe County, and Phillips County, 21 miles south of Brinkley or 13 miles northwest of Marvell on U.S. Route 49, then 2 miles east on Arkansas Route 362.
