Wakura Onsen

The Wakura Onsen Resort (Japanese: 和倉温泉) is a resort town on the edge of Nanao, Ishikawa, on the edge of the ocean. It has been rated the best resort in Japan for the last 24 yearsfact|date=April 2008. It is built around a hot spring (onsen) and has several hot spring baths.

Wakura Onsen has existed as a resort for 1,200 years. It was originally discovered by a traveling priest who noticed an injured crane bathing its wing in the warm water.
