Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade

The Under Secretary for International Trade is a position within the United States Department of Commerce that leads the International Trade Administration. The Under Secretary is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate. The position was created as a result of a June 16, 1982 law that did not require for an Under Secretary for International Trade until January 1, 1989.
