Mahendra P Singh

Mahendra P Singh popularly known as Prof M.P Singh is a renowned Constitutional Law scholar of India. He is best known for being the editor of "V.N. Shukla's Constitution of India" a textbook which is followed by lot of students and scholars alike. Prof Singh started his career as a law lecturer at the prestigious Faculty of Law, Delhi University. He became the Dean of the faculty. He was also appointed as a Director of the Indian Law Institute in Delhi.Presently, he is the Vice Chancellor of The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. He has written some other books on Constitutional and Legal History of India as well as on Comparative laws. He is a Visiting Professor and Scholar at Max Planck Institute, Germany and an authority on Civil Law System.
