Jeanne Stunyo

Jeanne Georgette Stunyo (born April 11, 1936 in Gary, Indiana) is a former female diver from the United States who earned a silver medal on the three-meter springboard at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia.

Canada's Irene MacDonald finished in third place to become her nation's first-ever Olympic medal winner in diving. Standing at the top of the awards podium was gold medalist Patricia McCormick of the United States.

At the 1956 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Stunyo and teammate Barbara Gilders-Dudeck were sponsored by the Detroit Athletic Club.In Melbourne, Gilders-Dudeck finished fourth – less than one point from MacDonald's bronze medal. Stunyo competed for the Detroit AC and the University of Detroit.
