Shalom Auslander

Shalom Auslander is an American, Jewish author and essayist, who grew up in the heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Monsey, New York, where he describes himself as having been "raised like a veal". Early life

Career

Personal life

Auslander's uncle, his mother's brother, is Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm the Chancellor of Yeshiva University. Auslander is married with one child, and currently resides in Woodstock, New York.
