Spur 527 is a convert|0.863|mi|km|3|sing=on spur route in Downtown Houston in the U.S. state of Texas. Spur 527 is a freeway spur that connects the Southwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 59) to Downtown Houston.

History

In 1976, Spur 527 was designated as a spur of US 59 in Houston. The freeway was the originally routing of US 59 into downtown before being rerouted further east. Route description

Spur 527 is a short freeway spur of US 59 in Houston. It branches off US 59 on the south side of downtown and heads northeast. It provides access to Richmond Avenue and Travis Street before curving towards the north as it passes over Alabama Street. As it continues north through downtown, the spur provides assess to Louisiana Street before coming to an end at Elgin Street.
