Gayle B. Harrell (born 1943, Nashville, Tennessee) currently serves as a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives representing the 81st district, where she has served since 2000.

Harrell ran for Congress in Florida's 16th congressional district against incumbent Democrat Tim Mahoney, but lost in the Republican election to attorney Tom Rooney. Harrell was endorsed by Mike Huckabee. [http://www.huckpac.com/?FuseAction=Blogs.View&Blog_id=1851]

Education

Gayle received her bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Florida in 1964. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Latin American history from UF.
