Nile, Ontario

Nile is a hamlet in the southwestern part of the Canadian province of Ontario.

Nile was the location of a 2002 murder, where a senior citizen was beaten to death. "Man pleads guilty in beating death of senior", Kitchener Record, Dec 21, 2002. Page A3]

History

Nile was built around a grist mill constructed by William Harris in 1854. In 1961, the County improved Huron County Road 1, bypassing Nile.Reflections of West Wawanosh, Page 573]
