Orion (The "Or" is pronounced "oar" and the "i" like a long "e") is a village in Henry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,861 at the 2010 census. It is home of the Orion Chargers. It is also the site for transmitters for many of the Quad Cities' television stations, including KLJB, WQAD-TV, WQPT and KQIN.

Orion is located at 41°21′12″N 90°22′38″W / 41.35333°N 90.37722°W / 41.35333; -90.37722 (41.353260, -90.377229).[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2), all of it land.

Public schools in Orion are governed by Orion Community Unit School District 223. While the districts educates pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, it does not account for private and non-profit preschools also available.
