Emilio Jose Bonifacio Rosario (born April 23, 1985 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a Major League Baseball second baseman, who currently plays for the Washington Nationals. He played his first Major League game September 1, by|2007, when he was called up by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

On July 22, by|2008, he was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Washington Nationals for pitcher Jon Rauch and was optioned to Triple-A Columbus.

Bonifacio was called up to the majors by the Nationals on August 1, along with fellow middle infielder Alberto Gonzalez. Bonifacio went 1 for 4, with an RBI, run, and a stolen base
