Illinois, United States. The population was 960 at the 2000 census.

According to the
United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the
censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 960 people, 391 households, and 283 families residing in the village. The population densitywas 2,114.3 people per square mile (823.7/km²). There were 419 housing units at an average density of 922.8/sq mi (359.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.69% White, and 0.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.73% of the population.
There were 391 households out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.4% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.90.
In the village the population was spread out with 26.0% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 92.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.8 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $36,413, and the median income for a family was $41,923. Males had a median income of $35,288 versus $17,400 for females. The
