Luxembourgian political parties referendum, 1937

The 1937 Luxembourgian referendum was a referendum held in Luxembourg on 6 June 1937 on the issue of criminalising revolutionary political parties. It was proposed that all parties that supported the overthrow of the democratic process be outlawed, under the so-called 'Muzzle Law' ( _lb. Maulkuerfgesetz). Specifically, since they were the only such party with a large support base, it was widely interpreted as targeting the Communist Party.
